Diane King holds a B.A. in Psychology, an M.A. in Special Education, and a Ph.D. in Special Education from Lehigh University. She also has instructional certifications in Early Childhood Education and Special Education, as well as a supervisor certification in Special Education. Prior to arriving at Kutztown University, she taught at a university in New Jersey and two local independent colleges. Before starting her career in higher education, she taught preschool children with disabilities in New Jersey and supervised special education teachers in the Allentown School District. Dr. King's research interests include multi-tiered systems of support/response to intervention issues, educational needs of special education multi-cultural students, IEP development, and effective teacher education practices and curriculum.
