Fall 2015 news:

Dr. Glenn Walters, Associate Professor in the Department of Criminal Justice at Kutztown University, received the 2016-2017 Chambliss Faculty Research Award.  The Chambliss Award, which can only be awarded once in a faculty member's career, was established in 2004 as a gift from Dr. Carlson R. Chambliss, professor emeritus. The Award is designed to recognize excellence in research and scholarship on the part of KU faculty members. Dr. Walters received one of the two awards granted in 2016-2017 for his ongoing research in the areas of criminal lifestyle, antisocial cognition, and correctional treatment.

Drs. Glenn Walters, Jon Kremser, and Lindsey Runnel were recently awarded two grants, one from the KU Foundation in the amount of $2000 and the other in the amount of $6000 from the KU Research Committee, for their longitudinal study on the "psychosocial correlates of bullying behavior in middle school students."  All of the funds will go directly to reimbursing the school where the study is taking place (i.e., JT Lambert Intermediate School in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania) for the cost of using their Pride Point system to compensate students for participating in this four-year study.
