High School Mathematics Day for Girls

The goal of this event was to interest young women in continuing to study mathematics and to pursue careers involving mathematics, the sciences, technology, and engineering by offering role models and mentors.

Guest Speakers

Deborah Lynn Clauss is a Registered Nurse in the Burn Center at Lehigh Valley Health Network, where she cares for adult and children who have suffered serious burn injuries. In addition to maintaining current clinical practice, Deborah also works full-time as Nursing Faculty at Cedar Crest College.

Natalie A. Snow is Director of Institutional Research at Kutztown University. Since coming to Kutztown University in 2003, she has worked primarily for the Office of Institutional Research and is responsible for the planning, management, and coordination of research studies and projects including the analysis and reporting of statistical and demographic data.

Dr. Anne Zayaitz is the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs at Kutztown University. She began her career at Kutztown University in the Biology Department where she taught microbiology, food microbiology, cell biology, and other courses for biology majors and for non-majors.


This event was funded through a grant from the KU Foundation, and through the support of the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences Dean's Office and the Kutztown University Department of Mathematics.
