A 12 credit internship is required for the B.S. in Public Administration. Dr. Paula Holoviak (holoviak@kutztown.edu) serves as the internship coordinator for public administration majors.

Political Science majors may choose to complete an internship for 6, 9, or 12 credits. Internship credits count toward a student's POL electives. A student interested in internship credits should consult his or her academic advisor to ensure he or she has enough open slots on the degree requirement check sheet. Dr. Glenn W. B.A. Political Science Internship Requirements

    • Hour requirement (verified by supervisor)
      • 6 credits: 200 hours
      • 9 credits: 300 hours
      • 12 credits: 400 hours
    • A fifteen (15) page paper detailing the duties performed and how they relate to the student's coursework
    • Positive midterm and end of semester feedback from internship supervisor


B.S. Public Administration Internship Requirements

    • Hour requirement (verified by supervisor)
      • 12 credits required for major: 400 hours
    • A fifteen (15) page paper detailing the duties performed and how they relate to the student's coursework.
    • Positive midterm and end of semester feedback from internship supervisor

Registering for Internship Credits

The internship supervisors will help students register for KU internship credit.

Placements

Placements include federal, state, and local government agencies, political campaigns, non-profit organizations, and for-profit organizations.

    • Internships can be paid or unpaid.
    • Locations vary according to student interests and ability/willingness to travel.
