Rebecca Ostermann began teaching full time in higher education on the music faculty of Ave Maria University, a private liberal arts university, where she served from 2009 to 2105. In addition to her role as the Assistant Conductor of the very active AMU choral program, she taught musicianship, music theory, and choral conducting.  Ms. Ostermann has also taught in the music department at Florida Gulf Coast University, and most recently at Dickinson College in Carlisle, PA.  She has conducted community and church choral ensembles including the Greater Baton Rouge Children's Chorus and the Symphonic Chorale of Southwest Florida. Currently based in Philadelphia, she is the music director at the historic Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Overbrook, and joins the production staff at Opera Philadelphia in Fall 2017 for OP17 - the opera company's first opera festival.  Prof. Ostermann is pleased to join the music faculty at Kutztown University, leading the University Choir and teaching coursework in aural skills and choral methods.  She holds a BMus degree from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay and an MM in Choral Conducting from Louisiana State University.
