The faculty at Kutztown recognizes that all students need guidance, advice and mentoring as they complete their program of study. Post-baccalaureate students are similar and given that many are returning to formal education after years in the workforce, their needs may be different.

Recognizing the unique needs of these students, Kutztown has taken steps to maximize the educational
experience and create an environment conducive for successful completion. To that end the program has incorporated the following features:

  • a designated Post-baccalaureate Music Advisor who will advise, monitor and mentor each student throughout the process
  • personalized admission and progression procedures
  • an intake process including an assessment of prior learning and work experience to avoid duplicative coursework or field experiences
