INTERNSHIPS AND SCHOLARSHIPS
Scholarships
The Art and Art History Department offers several scholarships based on both financial need and merit. Speak to your advisor for more information.
We are very proud to offer The Marguerite Bierman Scholarship, this fund enables students majoring in Studio Art, Art History, or Applied Digital Arts to get experience working with professional artists, craftsmen, or other creative professionals. The goal is for our female students to gain an understanding of the interplay between the studio art profession and the fullness of life in all aspects.
INTERNSHIPS
The B.A. in Art History undergraduate runs an elite internship program required within its core curriculum. Students have successfully completed internships in every kind of venue, from local arts organizations to highly renowned institutions. Professors from the Department of Art and Art History assist students in applying for internships, including help with the drafting of cover letters and résumés, and then administer the internship in collaboration with the host venue. While many students complete these internships for academic credit, others elect to pursue additional opportunities on a volunteer or paid basis to further their career goals. Each year, several of our graduates go on to pursue an advanced degree in art history, arts administration, cultural history, and conservation.
