Kristyn, Class of 2018

Being a member of Kutztown's Honors Program has provided me with multiple avenues for academic and social success. Last year, I had the opportunity to study politics and culture in Belize with the Honors PASSHE summer abroad program. Studying abroad with honors allowed me to develop friendships with honors students from other PASSHE schools, get credit toward my degree, and travel outside of the country for free! I was also able to apply for an Honor's scholarship that helped fund my capstone research project in the Islamic Republic of Iran. Being a transfer student, it can often be difficult to get all the credits you need and still graduate on time. With the help of KU Honors, I will not only be able to graduate on time, but a semester early!
