Minor in:

Game Development

This minor will be available for Fall 2019

The program's primary goal is to instill in students an understanding of the two facets of game development - the interactive design and the application programming. The game design is focused on improving the user experience. The animations, modeling and screen design are all critical components of the user interface. The non-design aspects of interactive games includes the programming for game flow. Game development is a classic example of a collaborative effort among disciplines rather than the domain of one discipline, as it will utilize existing courses from computer science, applied digital arts, communication design, and art education. The minor will prepare students for work in the game development field.
