Academic Passport

Academic Passport

Academic Passport guarantees admission and makes the transfer process easy for students from Pennsylvania community colleges, Lackawanna College, and from one Pennsylvania State System University to another.

Academic Passport Eligibility

  • Students who completed an Associate of Arts (A.A.) or Associate of Science (A.S.) from a PA community college or Lackawanna College, earned a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA in all coursework, and at least 30 credits of liberal arts coursework, or
  • Students from another PA State System University who have completed least 12 college-level credits and earned a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA.

Program Guidelines

  • This program does not guarantee admission into academic programs that have higher or additional requirements.
  • With an Associate degree, up to 45 general education/liberal arts credits will be applied toward satisfying lower-division general education requirements. Your remaining college-level credits will be applied to the major or accepted as electives.
  • "D" grades will transfer only if the overall GPA from each institution attended is 2.0 or better. Some programs may require a "C" or higher for major courses and certain other courses.
  • Remedial, developmental, or study skills courses are not transferable. Occupational and vocational courses usually are not accepted. Certain technical courses may transfer depending on the program.
