Current Event Cancellations

During the global coronavirus outbreak, events and schedules are changing rapidly.  The university will update this page with information on event cancellations. 

We cannot guarantee that an event will be held as scheduled if it does not appear on this page. If you are unsure if something will be postponed or canceled, please contact the organizer.

Current Cancellations/Changes/Announcements

    • Intercollegiate Athletics - all athletic competition for the remainder of the 2020 spring semester has been canceled (Full information at
    • Club Sports - All club sports are suspended until further notice.
    • Music Department Events - All Music Department events in March are canceled.
    • KU Foundation Events: visit the KU foundation website for its events
    • KU Testing Center is closed.
    • Admissions tours are canceled.
    • Frederick Douglass Institute events are canceled.
    • The Student Recreation Center is closed.
    • Entrepreneurship week is canceled.
    • Rohrbach Library is closed.
    • Clinical Services and Health and Wellness Services: Open by appointment only. Students call 610-683-4082 to speak with a nurse for scheduling. Mon-Fri. 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
    • PA. German Heritage Center Library is closed and tours canceled.
    • PSECU center is closed.
    • McFarland Student Union (MSU) is closed.
    • Starbucks in Bears Den, MSU, closed.
    • AA meetings are canceled.
    • Miller Gallery: All exhibits closed and related events canceled until further notice. Students and teachers in the Scholastic Art awards exhibit will receive information when available. Teachers and parents, please do not come to the university to retrieve artwork until further notice.
    • GLBTQ Resource Center Office is closed at this time. However, appointments can be scheduled by email to Messages can be left on our phone 484-646-4111. Director and GA Staff are available for student support, and working on virtual meet ups and programming.

    • Bus trip to New York City is canceled.
    • Pennsylvania German Cultural Heritage Center's "Easter on the Farm" event, April 4, 2020, is cancelled.
    • KU's participation in NBC Sports Fan Fest in Philadelphia is canceled.
  • April 7
    • Spring Book Review, Library and Learning Technologies Department, is canceled.
  • April 8
    • Planetarium event is canceled.
  • April 10
    • Lehigh Valley Cancer Institute’s Mobile Mammography coach will not be in Kutztown. Please call 888-402-LVHN if you had a scheduled appointment. The mobile will return in the fall, Oct. 8, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and you can call 888-402-LVHN to schedule your fall mammography.

    • Using Peer Mentors to Support First-Year Seminar Student Success is canceled.
  • April 15
    • KU Composition Conference will be moved to a digital conference using Digital Commons.
    • KU Presents! Laura Benanti is canceled. Ticket patrons will be contacted regarding refunds. More information will be available at
    • Planetarium event is canceled.
  • April 16
    • The Community Outreach Center/Miller-Keystone Blood Drive has been cancelled. Miller-Keystone is still collecting blood at their central donations site. More information about the donation sites can be found at We are keeping May 7 drive on the schedule for now - so we can host a community blood drive if possible; pending status of COVID-19 state and campus orders. If possible, the May 7 blood drive will be 10 am -3 pm in MSU 218 and open to the entire Kutztown area community.

    • Kutztown University Children's Literature Conference, (also 18) is canceled.
    • Chambliss Student Academic Achievement Award Ceremony is canceled. A rescheduled date will be announced.
  • April 18
    • World Language Teachers Workshop is canceled. At this time, there are no plans to reschedule.
    • Accepted Students Day will be held as a virtual event.  More details to come.

    • Philosophy and Poetry Day events are canceled.
  • April 25
    • Bus trip to New York City is canceled.
    • STEM Open House is canceled.
    • Ed in 3D workshop is canceled.

    • Artful Memories: Lessons Learned from a Reflective Practitioner is canceled.
