Pennsylvania has dedicated its COVID-19 vaccinations to local health networks for distribution. At this time, Kutztown University does not have any plans to directly offer vaccinations to its students or employees. We encourage our community to utilize resources through regional health networks for vaccination. We continue to monitor new guidance and protocols issued from the Pennsylvania Department of Health and will share information from our local health networks.
At this time, there are no requirements for KU students or employees to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.
Students should consult with their primary care physician and/or the Pennsylvania Department of Health's vaccine website for information on vaccine eligibility.
Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN)
Employees of Kutztown University are included in Phase 1B of Pennsylvania's vaccine distribution plan and are now able to preregister for a COVID-19 vaccine during this phase through MyLVHN.
Please note, everyone with a MyLVHN account will automatically be preregistered for a COVID-19 vaccine; however, to be considered for Phase 1B through LVHN, university employees must fill out the essential worker questionnaire, which can be found by clicking on the menu button after you log into MyLVHN, and identify your affiliation with Kutztown University in the drop-down menu. In addition, employees will need to present their KU ID to LVHN at time of vaccination. Employees in need of a KU ID should contact the KU Card Office, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., 107 Academic Forum, at 610-683-4825 or email@example.com.
You'll receive a notification from LVHN when you are eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine and can schedule your vaccine appointment. You do not need to be a current patient of LVHN, LVPG or Coordinated Health to open a MyLVHN account. Learn more at LVHN.org/MyLVHN.
