Students and faculty dig up details about pre-historic life in Kutztown.

Kutztown University students don’t need to travel to far-off lands to try their hand at archaeological field work; there are prehistoric research sites right here on the KU campus!

Students had the opportunity to conduct an archaeological dig in August with the guidance of Dr. Khori Newlander, assistant professor of anthropology and sociology. Artifacts gathered at the site are dug up, cleaned and analyzed to paint a picture of prehistoric life on the land the university now sits upon.
