Stephen Hilborn

Major: Business Administration

by Sarah Brown '15

Stephen Hilborn Business Administration major Stephen Hilborn says that, from an early age, he was interested in the many opportunities a business degree offered. In high school, he was involved in Future Business Leaders of America that furthered his interest in business and led him to thinking about eventually creating his own. Ever since coming to Kutztown University, he has been working toward this goal.

Stephen is a member of the Accounting Club and President of the Entrepreneurship Club here at KU. He can also be found working as a tutor in the library. KU offered him everything he was looking for in a university. Plus it's close to home.

"I never thought at this point in my education that I would have the opportunity to be involved in so many different aspects of what KU has to offer," he said.  "I have seen the university from many different angles; as a student, an athlete, a tutor, a committee member, and a summer worker. Each one has been an amazing experience, helping me meet and interact with amazing people."

After graduation, Stephen plans to attend graduate school and hopes to travel. He sincerely believes Kutztown has helped him become more well-rounded and prepared for life after graduation. While reflecting on his Kutztown career, Stephen recalls a memory from last spring:

"At the student marketplace event, I had the chance to work with a handful of student entrepreneurs and help them sell their products. It was awesome to learn about their work while organizing an event that showcased what they so passionately created."
