Open Hour with Provost

Faculty, staff and students are invited to drop by and chat with the provost, Dr. Lorin Basden Arnold, during her open office hour 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 6, Old Main concourse (east side). Faculty and staff who would like to have a conversation, but for whom this time does not work, are welcome to contact the Office of the Provost at 610-683-4155 to schedule a time to meet.

Multicultural Marketplace

The Multicultural Center is hosting a Multicultural Marketplace noon to 5 p.m. Wednesday, April 6, on the DMZ. Featuring local vendors, department tables, student groups and a food truck serving 1-3 p.m. while supplies last. There will also be a chance to win prizes during our raffle giveaways. All faculty, staff, and students are welcome. Please encourage your students to attend.

Reminder: Deadline for Schellenberg Award Nominations

The John P. Schellenberg Award for Excellence in Teaching and Learning was established by John P. Schellenberg, professor emeritus of physical science, faculty, alumni and friends to recognize an early career faculty member who has demonstrated outstanding work within the mission of the Center for the Enhancement of Teaching (CET). To be eligible for the award, an individual must have been on the faculty fulltime at least three, but not more than seven years. The recipient will be chosen based on the following three areas: 1. Pedagogy and Curriculum Innovation; 2. Learning Technology Innovation; 3. Assessment and/or Research on Learning.  Please submit a nomination letter and curriculum vitae to Dr. Karen Rauch at rauch@kutztown.edu by 4:30 p.m. Friday, April 8. Nominated candidates are also required to submit their own letter (maximum of two pages) that clearly outlines their qualifications in all three CET mission categories. This letter should likewise be sent to rauch@kutztown.edu

Room Correction - Fourth CET Spring Presentation RL 06

The Center for the Enhancement of Teaching (CET) is pleased to offer our fourth CET spring presentation "Using Research Workbooks/Visual Journals Across the Disciplines" by Drs. Amy Pfeiler-Wunder and Erin Kraal. This CET presentation will be held in person 11 a.m. Thursday, April 7, in 06 Rohrbach Library. Presentation details can be found on the CET website here. All are welcome, and participation certificates will be provided. Hope to see you there.
