The Daily Brief


 Kutztown University has again been named a "Best in the Northeast" by the Princeton Review. The education services company is widely known for its test prep programs and college and graduate school guides, named 225 institutions to its "Best in the Northeast" section.  Kutztown has been named to the list four of the last five years.

I am pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Jamie VanValkenburgh as director, Graduate Admissions, beginning Monday, August 10.  She is reporting to vice provost and dean of Graduate Studies, Dr. Carole Wells.  Ms. VanValkenburgh received a B.A. from Lycoming College and an M.A. in Education and Organizational Development from George Washington University.

Please join the Housing, Residence Life and Dining Services for a retirement reception for Kathy Lynch, associate director, Housing and Residence Life.  Kathy is retiring after 34 dedicated years to Kutztown University, but more importantly, our students.  We will be hosting a reception on Thursday, August 13 from 12:30 - 2 p.m. in 106 Old Main.  Please stop by and visit with Kathy.  Kathy's last day is Friday, August 14.

                Housing & Residence Life



The Air Conditioning at deFrancesco Building will be shut down on Saturday, August 15 from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m. Repairs need to be made to the chilled water feed and return lines. The Air Conditioning will be restored once repairs have been made. Sorry for any inconvenience.
