(Weather forecasts are provided by KU's Dr. Michael Davis and "Monsoon Mike" Regensburger)

High pressure remains to our east allowing temperatures and humidity to rise. Hot muggy air will make the day uncomfortable. Chance of afternoon thunderstorms. High temperature in the mid 90s. Heat index values near 104 F. Winds southwest at 5-10 mph. Rainfall between .1-.25", higher amounts with storms. Heat really gets cranked up for the weekend. Stay cool!

(Historical facts have been compiled from the KU Archives and Special Collections of the Rohrbach Library; the archives of the Keystone; Kutztown Patriot, Allentown Leader and Reading Eagle; and Beacon on the Hill by Dr. Lee Graver.)

August 2013:  Construction is completed on a $20 million renovation and expansion of Schaeffer Auditorium.  The project completely renovates the historic auditorium and adds approximately 14,000 square-feet of rehearsal and classroom space.
