Two students and three faculty from the Department of Biology recently presented research at the 101st Ecological Society of America Meeting in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. The students enjoyed the experience, received high praise for their presentations, and were able to network with prospective graduate advisors and/or employers.

After some patchy morning fog, we can expect a sunny day for Wednesday. High pressure drifts to our east allowing for southerly winds. Temperature and moisture will creep up slightly from yesterday but it will still be a very delightful day. High temperature in the mid 80s. Winds south at 5-7 mph.

August 24, 1895:  School opens with more than 400 students, 120 of which are in the senior class.  Students are treated to a new addition to campus, the first Funk and Wagnalls Standard Dictionary of the American Language to be used at Keystone State Normal School.  



It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Dr. William Roth, Professor of Management. Dr. Roth is currently featured as a Difference Maker on the Kutztown University home page. Condolences may be sent to his wife, Wendy Roth, 71 Fortune Lane, Palm Coast, FL 32137.

In addition, one of the culminating events each year for new freshmen is fall CONNECTIONS and Convocation which occurs on Sunday, August 28. This event involves meetings with deans and faculty and the convocation ceremony with Dr. Hawkinson and members of the administration.  For more information please contact the CONNECTIONS Orientation Office at 3-4088.  



Registration is now open for the Kutztown University men's basketball team's seventh annual scholarship golf tournament on Friday, Sept. 9 at the Rich Maiden Golf Course in Fleetwood, Pa. Shotgun start is set for 1 p.m.  Click here for complete information.


The Kutztown University women's basketball team is selling discount cards for $10 that will enable you to save money each time you support a business in Kutztown.  For more information and to order, contact head coach Janet Malouf at or 610-683-4337. Cards will also be sold in the athletics office in Keystone Hall.  Discount cards are valid from August 2016 through June 2017.  See details here.
