FRESHMEN/PARENT ORIENTATION
Today, Tuesday, Aug. 22 is the final freshmen/parent orientation for fall 2017. Please join us in welcoming new students including international students to campus for a day filled with information sessions and meetings with faculty. The program will take place in MSU 218.

Please remember to direct students who do not seem confident in their choice of major or career path to the Career Development Center. We will host extended walk-in hours the first week of classes: Monday, Wednesday, Friday 9-11:30 a.m. and 1-4 p.m.; Tuesday, Thursday 1-4 p.m.

MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AID CERTIFICATION COURSE
Aug. 30 & 31, 12 - 4 p.m.
Participants must attend both sessions to be certified. 
Mental Health First Aid is an 8-hour course that teaches you how to help someone who is developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis.  Mental Health First Aid for Higher Education is designed with colleges' and universities' unique culture and resources in mind. Training students, faculty and others in higher education settings how to recognize the symptoms of emerging mental illnesses or to assist young adults in a mental health crisis can help lessen the severity and impact of mental illnesses.  To register, please email the information below to Dolores Hess, director of Health and Wellness Services at hess@kutztown.edu

FINAL AUGUST FRESHMEN AND TRANSFER ORIENTATIONS
Aug. 22 and 23
The final fall 2017 orientation events for new freshmen and transfer students will be held on August 22 (freshmen) and August 23 (transfer) in MSU 218. We look forward to welcoming these students and their families to campus as we prepare for the start of the fall semester.

Please view a copy of the Welcome Weekend Schedule happening on Saturday, August 26 and Sunday, August 27. Welcome Weekend is designed to help students have a successful year by combining the skills needed to navigate campus successfully, the knowledge to become a productive member of the KU family, and the memories to make their time on campus meaningful.
