It's been a cool stretch of weather the past few days and that will continue tomorrow with highs only in the 60s once again. But until then, we have one day with temperatures more normal for late August. Today's temperature at around 82 degrees before a cold front moves in later this afternoon, increasing clouds and the chance for showers or thunderstorms.

KUTZTOWN UNIVERSITY PILOTS EXTENDED WEEKNIGHT SHUTTLE SERVICE
KU is testing an extended shuttle service from 4 - 10 p.m., Mondays through Thursdays, through Oct. 6. The evening loop transports students among campus residence halls, academic buildings, local apartment complexes and the downtown area. The program is a project of the Student Government Board. Riders are encouraged to provide feedback to parking@kutztown.edu. The continuation of the service will depend on the number of users during the pilot program. RETIREMENT COUNSELORS
Retirement counselors will be on campus for one-on-one counseling sessions during September as follows: VALIC - Sept. 6 TIAA - Sept. 7 Fidelity - Sept. 14 Empower (Deferred Compensation plan) - Sept. 27 Information as to how to schedule an appointment is located on the H.R. website under Retirement Counselors on Campus.

Group exercise classes will begin on Tuesday, Sept. 5.

SENATE ELECTIONS WILLINGNESS TO SERVE FOR SERVICE BEGINNING FALL 2017
At Large Faculty Senator
University Senate and Senate Governance Committee nominations for elected positions are now being accepted for At Large Faculty Senator (two openings) representing the views of all faculty at the University. Eligibility: All permanent and tenure track faculty, teaching and non-teaching. Must have three years full-time service at the University by August 2017. This is a three-year term. University Senate meets on the first Thursday of the month, 4 - 6 p.m. To self-nominate to be on the ballot, please complete the electronic form located at this link: https://orgsync.com/75209/forms/271335.

Professional Staff Senator
University Senate and Senate Governance Committee nominations for elected positions are now being accepted for Professional Staff Senator (one opening) representing the views of all professional staff at the University. Eligibility: All permanent professional staff and managers below Cabinet level. Must have three years full-time service at the University by August 2017. This is a three-year term. University Senate meets on the first Thursday of the month, 4 - 6 p.m. To self-nominate to be on the ballot, please complete the electronic form located at this link: https://orgsync.com/75209/forms/274965.

Form submissions will open on Wednesday, Aug. 30 at noon and must be received by Friday, Sept. 8 at noon.
