Join the College of Business in welcoming Kim O’Neill, assistant dean, who begins today, Monday, Aug. 5. O’Neill comes to us from the University of Washington (UW) Bothell School of Business, where she was the director of Undergraduate Programs and Accreditation for the School of Business. In her role at KU, she will primarily support our accreditation and assessment processes and workload planning. Kim holds an MBA from UW Bothell, an M.S. in electrical engineering from University of Southern California, an M.S. in engineering management from California State University-Long Beach, and bachelor degrees in mathematics and economics from Loyola Marymount University. CONDOLENCES TO THE OSWALD FAMILY
Please join the provost’s office in offering our sincerest condolences to Ms. Penny Oswald, assistant to the provost for faculty relations and academic administration, in the loss of her daughter-in-law, Ms. Kristen Oswald. Ms. Oswald had her life tragically taken Sunday, July 28, as a result of an accident while competing in an IRONMAN triathlon near Dayton, Ohio. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Penny and her family for their loss. Human Resources is saddened to share the news of the death of Albert Forster IV, father-in-law of Jeanette Forster, benefits and employment manager. Mr. Forster passed away Wednesday, July 31, at the age of 78. Condolences may be sent to Jeanette and her family c/o Human Resources.

WORK ORDER SYSTEM – ISERVICE DESK – MAINTENANCE
On Aug. 6, beginning at 8 a.m., iService Desk and TMA, the Facilities Work Order System, will be taken off line for server maintenance and will be unavailable for the duration of the workday. During this system outage, emergency and urgent requests should continue to be called into the Facilities Work Control Center at ext. 3-1594. Please hold new routine requests and service inquiries until the system is back online. Contact the Work Control Center with any concerns you might have regarding this planned outage. We appreciate your patience and support while this necessary maintenance is performed.

Graduate students who are not graduate assistants and do not have any daytime classes do not need to purchase a parking decal.
