High pressure remains parked over the area. No relief from the heat as the Excessive Heat Warning remains in place. Sunny skies, sweltering heat, and a chance of afternoon storms (stop me if you heard this one). High temperature in the low-90s. Heat index near 104. Winds west at 5 mph. Rainfall less than a tenth of an inch with higher amounts where storms occur.

Just a reminder, the university returns to standard administrative office hours, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with an hour lunch, Monday, Aug. 23.
