Kutztown Pipe Band

Bagpipes at the Band Shell

The Kutztown Pipe Band is celebrating its five-year anniversary with a free local concert 7 - 8 p.m. Wednesday Aug. 17 at the Kutztown Band Shell. The band will play a mix of modern and traditional pipe tunes and all are welcome to attend.
Founded in 2017, this band is a student group at KU as well as a non-profit organization in the borough of Kutztown, with membership consisting of KU faculty, staff and students as well as local community members. The Kutztown Pipe Band offers performance piping as well as educational sessions and piping instruction (https://kutztownpipeband.com/).

Danenhower Named KU Employee of the Month for January 2022

Congratulations to Justine Danenhower, custodial worker, Facilities, on being named Kutztown University Employee of the Month for January 2022. Danenhower’s nomination from Tammy Becker, management technician, Academic Affairs, can be read online.

Move-In Day Volunteers Needed

On Saturday, Aug. 27, we will welcome hundreds of new students and their families to campus for move-in day. We need your help to make this a success. Please consider volunteering your time to help greet new students, unload their vehicles and provide instruction. Volunteer on your own or have your entire department join in together.
