KU students win Math Competition
The team of Kutztown students Nate Benjamin, David Foley, and Jacob McCann earned first place in the 2016 LVAIC (Lehigh Valley Association of Independent Colleges) team math competition, defeating teams from Cedar Crest College, DeSales University, Lafayette College, Lehigh University, and Muhlenberg College.  They finished with a very impressive score of 93 out of a possible 100 points.  Moreover, two other Kutztown teams finished in the top five in the field of fifteen teams.  Please congratulate Nate Benjamin, Brooke Eshbach, Grant Fickes, David Foley, Shannon Golden, Robert Koch, Jacob Kramer, Diego Manzano-Ruiz, Jacob McCann, Bethany Tirrell, Jiao Xu, and Guozhi Zhang on their outstanding performance!  Most of these students have dedicated significant time to training with Dr. Wong to prepare for competitions like this one.

Student Recreation Center
The Student Recreation Center and Keystone Hall Swimming Pool will be operating under the following schedule during finals week:
Mon., Dec. 12 - Wed., Dec. 14    Regular hours of operation
Thurs., Dec. 15                         6 a.m.-9 p.m. (Pool 8-9 a.m., noon-1 p.m., 5:30-7 p.m.)
Fri., Dec. 16                             6 a.m.-6 p.m. (Pool 8-9 a.m., noon-1 p.m.)
Sat., Dec. 17 - Sun., Dec. 18      CLOSED

Group exercise classes will end on Wednesday, Dec. 14.  Classes will resume next semester on Sunday, Jan. 22, 2017.  Cheryl will not be conducting lunchtime workouts over winter break.




Taylor Named Top Keeper of 2016 NCAA Tournament
Kutztown University goalkeeper Imani Taylor honored for her postseason play and her 3-1 NCAA record this season, as she was named the goalie on this year's Division II women's soccer All-NCAA Tournament Team.  Forty two teams competed in the women's soccer NCAA Tournament. Taylor led the tournament with 28 saves in her four starts. She played 360 minutes, fourth-most in the tournament, and held a 1.25 goals-against-average that included two shutouts.  



Congratulations to the 11 Golden Bear Men's team members recognized by D1A Rugby in its All-Conference selections for Rugby East.
