Canadian high to control the weather for Friday. Sunny skies are expected but the weak sun angle will not permit temperatures from climbing much. Moisture from approaching low arrives later in the day and should trigger some snow overnight. High temperature in the mid 20s. Winds west at 5-8 mph. Wind chill values near zero. Possible 1-2" of snow overnight.

The Department of Geography is pleased to announce that Dr. Steven Schnell has recently accepted the position of editor of the nationally renowned Journal of Cultural Geography. Since 2005, Dr. Schnell has been the editor for The Geographical Bulletin, which is the journal published by Gamma Theta Upsilon, the International Geography Honor Society.  Dr. Schnell continues to keep Kutztown University visible at the national and international levels. Please join us in congratulating him on this wonderful accomplishment!

This is a reminder that any travel expenses or invoices that need to be postmarked and paid this year should be forwarded to and received by our office no later than Dec. 21 in order to be processed with our last check run on Dec. 22.  Otherwise, processing will resume after the holiday break.  Thank you.

Student Recreation Center
The Student Recreation Center and Keystone Hall Swimming Pool will be operating under the following schedule during finals week:
Fri., Dec. 16                                         6 a.m.-6 p.m. (Pool 8-9 a.m., noon-1 p.m.)
Sat., Dec. 17 - Sun., Dec. 18         CLOSED

SRC Winter Hours
The Student Recreation Center will be open M-F 6 a.m.-6 p.m. and the Keystone Hall Swimming Pool will be open M-F 8 a.m.-9 a.m. and noon-1 p.m. during winter break beginning Mon. Dec. 19, 2016 through Fri. Jan. 20, 2017.  (Pool will be closed on Tuesday, Dec. 20) We will be closed for the holidays from Mon., Dec. 26, 2016 through Mon., Jan. 2, 2017. 




Kutztown University goalkeeper Imani Taylor honored for her postseason play and her 3-1 NCAA record this season, as she was named the goalie on this year's Division II women's soccer All-NCAA Tournament Team.  Forty two teams competed in the women's soccer NCAA Tournament. Taylor led the tournament with 28 saves in her four starts. She played 360 minutes, fourth-most in the tournament, and held a 1.25 goals-against-average that included two shutouts.
