Congratulations to Matthew Kakakios who was the winner of the Get A Room program hosted by the Offices of Residence Life and Housing and Dining Services. Matthew received his spring housing covered by our offices. We would also like to thank all the other offices/centers for their participation in the Get A Room program.

KU VETERAN FACULTY SPIRIT AWARD

Dr. David Beougher awarded the KU Veteran Faculty Spirit Award
David Beougher, dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, was awarded the KU Veteran Faculty Spirit Award by the Office of Veteran's Services at our Annual Military Appreciation Basketball Game Wednesday, Nov. 15. Dr. Beougher, who served 22 years in the U.S. Army before joining the KU family, was unanimously voted by KU student veterans to receive this honor for his tireless efforts to serve and support them, and get them to graduation day. He is an exemplary extension of the values that we uphold at Kutztown University, in the services and support of our military. Thank you for your service, Dr. Beougher-then and now.

Very intense low pressure moving through northern Quebec will allow for cold air to advect into the region. High temperatures will be reached in the morning as temperatures steadily drop throughout the day. The wind field should be weaker than yesterday. We should see mostly sunny skies. High temperature in the low-40s. Winds west at 7-11 mph.

Please welcome Ms. Erica Stratton, who joined the Office of the Assistant Vice President and Dean of Students on Wednesday, Nov. 29, to the KU family. Erica, who most recently managed the Reading Area Community College's childcare center/lab school, comes to KU with a wide-range of abilities and skills that will aid in managing a robust office and serving students. Erica has two children (Nicholas & Leigha), a dog (Kiba) and enjoys reading, traveling, baking and spending time with family and friends. Please join me in welcoming Erica to KU.

Julia L. Hovanec, professor of art education and crafts will present "Seeing Ourselves: A Review of the Depiction of Socioeconomic Status in Contemporary Picture Books" on Thursday, Dec. 7, at 11 a.m. in 120 Sharadin Arts Building. Everyone is welcome to attend, learn about the work our college faculty are doing, and participate in the discussion.

The Mental Health (check-up from the neck up) Kiosk has moved. The new home is in the MSU in the alcove near the ATM. Feel free to stop by for a check up on your mental health, as well as viewing valuable resource information.

REMIND STUDENTS OF THE TWO-YEAR RESIDENCY REQUIREMENT
Please, remind students of the two-year residency requirement. Any student with less than 60 credits and who has not lived on campus for more than four semesters must complete the Housing Application Process. Encourage students to complete their application today. The deadline is Friday, Dec. 15.
