WIESENBERGER FACULTY AWARD FOR EXCELLENCE IN TEACHING
You are invited to nominate a candidate for the 2020 Arthur and Isabel Wiesenberger Faculty Award for Excellence in Teaching. Current full-time tenured faculty are eligible. Nomination deadline is April 1. This award is presented annually to a faculty member who has served Kutztown University in a manner that sets them apart from colleagues. The recipient receives $2,500 and a plaque which will be presented by President Hawkinson on the first day of the fall semester. LUNAR YEAR CELEBRATION
Feb. 10
We welcome everyone to celebrate the 2020 Lunar New Year at Kutztown University. Come experience the unique sights and sounds of Taikoza this Lunar New Year. The performance by Taikoza drummers will start at 6 p.m., Monday, Feb. 10, in 218 McFarland Student Union, Nancy Jean Stump Seiger ΚΌ54, Multipurpose Room. The event is sponsored by Kutztown University Activities Board (KUAB) and Chinese Students and Scholars Association (CSSAKU) through SGB, Office of Student Involvement, Multicultural Center and the Rohrbach Library. It’s free and open to the public. Please come and enjoy the varied and wonderful performances, delicious food and experience the Asian culture. We look forward to seeing you there.

FACULTY ARTIST SERIES CONCERT
Feb. 10
Please join us for the first Faculty Artist Series concert of the semester 7:30 p.m., Monday, Feb. 10, in Schaeffer Auditorium Little Theater. Jeremy Justeson (saxophone), Michelle Kiec (clarinet) and guest Carol Shansky (flute) will perform duos and trios by Resanovic, Brockman, Hakobjanyan, Morlock, Mellits and McMichael. The concert is free and open to the public.

DSO SESSION FOR FACULTY ON ACCOMMODATING STUDENTS
Feb. 11
Join the Department of Disability Services, 3 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 11, in 116, CDC Seminar Room, Stratton Administration Center. Refresh your knowledge about the students accommodation process and discuss implementation of specific accommodations including flexibility with attendance and assignment deadlines. Universal design and accessibility of classroom/instructional materials will also be discussed. Time will be allotted for questions and participants will have an opportunity to share their experiences and best practices.

The rollover to the new leave year has been completed and balances have been updated. Employees should be aware that carry-over leave balances must be used by Friday, April 10. After that time, carry-over leave balances will be processed according to the applicable agreement. PAPER W-2 FORMS MAILED
Paper 2019 W-2s were mailed Jan. 24 and 25, 2020, to active and inactive employees who had taxable wages during calendar year 2019. To allow ample time for employees to receive their form, please do not request duplicates before Friday, Feb. 7. This will also give the U.S. Postal Service time to return undeliverable W-2s. SCIENCE OLYMPIAD NEEDS VOLUNTEERS

Volunteers are needed to help Kutztown University host the CE Regional Science Olympiad Wednesday, March 11, (snow date March 12). More than 400 students will compete in 26 events based in disciplines such as biology, earth science, chemistry, physics, computer science and technology. We need your help to make it happen. You do not need a science background to volunteer. We need help with registration, lobby info, food sales/delivery, set-up, scoring, event assistance and more. You can judge an event or help with the appeals board. Club advisers, get your club involved.
