Communication studies major and Golden Bear men's basketball player, Wesley Butler was featured on 6ABC News in Philadelphia to discuss his college education, basketball season and becoming the youngest Reading City Council member.

Inaugural Season for Kutztown Women's Acrobatics and Tumbling Begins Friday

It has been nearly 16 months since Kutztown University and the Golden Bears athletic department announced the edition of women's acrobatics and tumbling as the university's 22nd varsity intercollegiate sport. The wait to compete is finally over as KU will take to the mat for the first time as a varsity sport 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 18, Keystone Arena. The first match is against nationally ranked Quinnipiac.

Student Award-Winning Data Science Presentation

Alumnus Connor Ellis, M.S. computer science and graduate data analytics certificate, will be delivering his presentation "Data Collection, Cleaning and Analysis of Gamers at Kutztown and their Social Habits" at the monthly CS&IT Research & Teaching meeting 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 24, via Zoom Meeting ID: 936 1203 3210, Passcode: CSresearch. Ellis earned the annual $1000 Liquid Interactive Award to help promote our data science courses and certificate program. Ellis' capstone project in CSC558 Data Mining and Predictive Analytics II introduced students to association rules for uncovering obscure data relationships. Association rules were not previously used in our courses.

ALLIES Clothing Swap: Love Your Body Day/Kindness Karnival

Allies is holding a clothing swap in honor of Love Your Body Day at the Kindness Karnival noon to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 23, 223 McFarland Student Union. Take what you want, bring what you don’t. Clothing donation at this event is encouraged but not required for participation. Clothes must be clean and in good condition. Changing area and mirrors will be provided.
