Lentz Hired as Director of Extended Learning
Kutztown University has named Lori Lentz as its new director of Extended Learning. Lentz has served as KU’s assistant registrar for transfer and graduate students since 2012. She starts her new role Monday, Feb. 14. As the new director of Extended Learning, Lentz will engage external organizations, employers, industry leaders and educators to increase student pathways and opportunities. This is a significant position as it involves functioning in many different capacities to ensure the success of extended learning at KU. Science Olympiad Needs Volunteers
The Science Olympiad needs volunteers. Are you looking for something fun to do over spring break? Do you want to add a little something to your résumé? Volunteers are needed to help KU host the CE Regional Science Olympiad Thursday, March 17 (snow date: Friday, March 18). The Science Olympiad is a competition held on campus that hosts 18 high schools from five counties. More than 300 students will compete in approximately 23 events based in science disciplines such as biology, earth science, chemistry, physics, computers and technology, and we need your help to make it happen. You do not need a science background to be a volunteer. We need help with registrations, lobby information, food sales and delivery, setup, scoring, event assistance and so much more. You can judge an event or help with the Appeals Board. Club advisers - get your club involved. If you are interested, please contact our volunteer coordinator, Dr. Michael Davis, at midavis@kutztown.edu. Check out our website below for more information. We look forward to having you as part of the team.
