More clouds than sun. Lows in the 20s. Mild highs in the mid-40s.  Chance of rain showers and light rain with some possible wintry mixing in Friday night, especially near and north of Interstate 78. Minimal problems expected. 
 

 

THE SESQUICENTENNIAL CELEBRATION

THIS MONTH IN KU HISTORY

(Historical facts have been compiled from the KU Archives and Special Collections of the Rohrbach Library; the archives of the Keystone; Kutztown Patriot, Allentown Leader and Reading Eagle; and Beacon on the Hill by Dr. Lee Graver.)

 

In January, 1937, ground is broken for a $600,000 renovation project.  It includes the construction of an experimental plant laboratory on the south side of Old Main's science unit.

STUDENT RECREATION CENTER AND KEYSTONE POOL HOLIDAY HOURS
The Student Recreation Center and Keystone Hall Swimming Pool will be operating under the following schedule for the beginning of the spring semester: 

Sunday, Jan. 17, 1 - 11 p.m., Pool 7 - 10 p.m.
Monday, Jan. 18, 1 - 11 p.m., Pool 6 - 7 p.m., 9 - 10:30 p.m.
Tuesday, Jan. 19, regular semester hours resume

Group exercise classes resume on Tuesday, Jan. 19, with the exception of Cheryl's lunchtime classes which will resume on Mon. Jan. 25

ENTERPRISE CAR RENTAL - INFORMATION SESSION
Business Services will be holding an information/training session on Tuesday, Feb. 9, at 2 p.m. in Academic Forum room 102, for any faculty or staff member who would like to learn about the process for renting vehicles through Enterprise Rent-A-Car.  The session will include information on:  paperwork that needs to be completed before a vehicle is rented, how and when to order a rental vehicle through the KU website, how to order a 15-passenger van, and other general information relating to the vehicle rental process.  Representatives from Enterprise Rent-A-Car will be in attendance to answer questions.  If you would like to attend, please email Jen Prevoznik at: jprevoznik@kutztown.edu

AFSCME 2234 MEETING

ANTHONY LEE EARNS SECOND PSAC FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK HONOR
On the same day that the Kutztown University men's basketball team improved to fourth in the latest Division II Sports Information Directors of America (D2SIDA) Atlantic Region Media Poll, redshirt-freshman Anthony Lee  was honored by the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) as the Eastern Division Freshman of the Week.
