TODAY'S WEATHER

(Weather forecasts are provided by KU's Dr. Michael Davis and "Monsoon Mike" Regensburger)

Clouds to start the day as warm front approaches the region. Some breaks in the clouds by the afternoon. Unfortunately, the cold air that is in place coupled with a low sun angle will still make for a pretty cold winter day. High temperature in the mid-20s. Winds southwest at 5-8 mph.

All non-perishable food donations collected during that time will be given to the on-campus food pantry and Friends Inc.  Fans are encouraged to participate and donations will be accepted at basketball games on Jan. 9, Jan. 12, Jan. 18, and Jan. 25, as well as at track and field's Golden Bear Invitational on Jan. 12-13, women's swimming's home meet against Lock Haven on Jan. 14 and wrestling's Kutztown University Duals on Jan. 20-21.  Anyone who brings one non-perishable food donation to any of the basketball games will be given a ticket that can be redeemed for a free hotdog or bag of chips. Then at the game on Jan. 25, which is sponsored by the KU Student Athletic Advisory Committee (SAAC), a donation will gain entrance to a drawing for a Giant gift card.  In addition to accepting donations at athletic events, Kutztown will also have designated donation boxes set up throughout Keystone Hall throughout the month. The athletic department encourages all students, student-athletes, faculty, administration and fans alike to be a part of this initiative and help the "Bears Give Back."
