COB ACCEPTED INTO CFA AFFILIATION PROGRAM

Kutztown University is one of 260 campuses in the United States to be accepted into the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Institute Affiliation Program. As an affiliated university, KU portrays to students and employers that its curriculum is closely tied to the practice of investment management and is helpful to students preparing for the CFA program exams. CFA Institute is the international association of investment professionals that sets the standard for professional excellence and credentials. The organization is a champion of ethical behavior in investment markets and a respected source of knowledge in the global financial community. There are more than 160,000 CFA charter holders worldwide in 164 different markets.

AFSCME 2234 Membership Meeting

Our next AFSCME Local 2234 membership meeting is 5 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 18, in 220 Boehm Science Center. Since the university is closed for Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Monday, Jan. 17, we will have our meeting the following day. Please plan to attend.

BID THRESHOLD INCREASE

The bid threshold amount for 2022 increased from $21,300 to $21,900 effective January 1. This applies to all competitive procurements, including construction. However, this threshold does not apply to contracts issued under master agreements, ITQs or other contracting mechanisms where the underlying contract was issued as a cooperative agreement via competitive solicitation or another contracting mechanism otherwise consistent with the requirements of the Procurement Code. In those cases, the terms of the underlying contract are followed.
