Power Interruption TOMORROW MORNING

Due to a short circuit and fire in the electric fire pump controller in Deatrick Hall, the fire pump controller must undergo replacement.  As a result of this work, the electric feed to the pump needs to be disconnected at a transformer at the rear of Deatrick Hall.  In order to accomplish the shut-down safely, there will be an interruption of power to the following buildings on Thursday, July 2: Beck Hall (including the Health Center), Deatrick Hall and Stratton Administration Building (front section.)  The interruption will occur from 6 - 7 a.m.; although the work may take less than the full hour, we want to ensure there is enough time to perform the work safely.  As a precautionary measure, occupants in Beck Hall, Deatrick Hall and Stratton Administration (front section of building) should power-down electronic devices on Wednesday afternoon before leaving work.  Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

Stephen Helms, director, Environmental, Health and Safety
