(Weather forecasts are provided by KU's Dr. Michael Davis and "Monsoon Mike" Regensburger)

Cold front to pass the region today. Could be some morning showers and thunderstorms that may produce heavy rain. Mostly cloudy during the afternoon. High temperature near 80. Winds north 5-10 mph. Rainfall between .1-.25" with higher amounts locally.

Recent repairs to the fire pump controller in Deatrick Hall will necessitate a power shut-down to allow us to reconnect the electric feed to the transformer that powers the fire pump. The transformer is fed from a circuit that powers the following buildings: Beck Hall, Deatrick Hall and Stratton Administration Building (front section).

The power shut-down is scheduled as follows: Thursday, July 23 between 6 a.m. and 7 a.m.

The shut-down will likely take less than one-hour, but we have allowed the hour in the event problems are encountered. Emergency generator power will provide power to critical circuits in Beck, Deatrick and Stratton during the shut-down period. It is recommended that computers or other electronic equipment, in those buildings listed, be shut-down on Wednesday evening, July 22 to avoid potential damage.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
