Partly sunny with a chance of a passing shower or thunderstorm as a front hangs just to our south and may spawn a touch of instability here or there. The majority of the area, however, should stay dry. Highs around 80. Northeast winds around 5 p.m.

 

ANNOUNCEMENTS

 

CHAMBER MUSIC FESTIVAL

The KU Chamber Music Festival has several events today.  The Chamber Concerto Competition will be held at 1:30 p.m.  Christian Capocaccia will offer a conducting workshop and orchestra rehearsal at 3 p.m.  At 5 p.m. there will be a "Perform-a-thon" featuring an opportunity to play the personal piano of Vladimir Horowitz.  The day will be capped off at 7:30 p.m. with A Journey Through Europe including works by Telemann, Mozart, Lachner, Mahler, Ibert, DuBois and Shostakovich.  All events take place in the Georgian Room, Old Main.

RECREATION CENTER SPECIAL HOURS
The Student Recreation Center and Keystone Hall Swimming Pool will be closed tomorrow, July 3.

  


  

PUBLIC SAFETY AND POLICE SERVICES ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICE CLOSED JULY 6

Public Safety and Police Services administrative office will be closed Monday, July 6; however, all police and security functions will operate as normal. Please call the Communication Center 610-683-4002 with any urgent matters. Thank you

SOUTH CAMPUS DRIVE CLOSURE

In order to make some essential repairs to the steam manhole located in the road, South Campus Drive will be closed from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., starting Monday, July 6, for the next four weeks. Barricades will direct traffic around the east side of the Bear Plaza. At 4 p.m. every day the barricades will be moved and South Campus Drive will be open for the evening as well as the weekend.

SCHAEFFER LANE CLOSURE
In support of the construction occurring at the Grad Center, Schaeffer Lane will be closed Monday, July 6 through Friday, July 10.  To access North Campus please follow the posted detour to Luckenbill Road or enter via Lytle Lane.  I apologize in advance for any inconvenience.  Questions or concerns should be directed to Chris Scott, Project Manager at scott@kutztown.edu.

KUTZTOWN FOLK FESTIVAL
Kutztown University Employees receive complimentary admission to the Kutztown Folk Festival during the hours of 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. Please present your ID at the College Gate Entrance. This year's festival runs June 27 - July 5. Come and enjoy!
