Gettysburg National Military Park's Artist-in-Residence for August will be painter and multimedia artist, Mark Mahosky, of Mifflinburg, Pennsylvania. This is the second of three new artist-in-residency programs at Gettysburg this year.  Mahosky, an associate professor of fine arts at Kutztown University, will spend the month of August working and interacting with park visitors as he draws or sculpts.  Afterward, he'll provide a public program with his works as lecture and reflection on the varied meanings and transformations over time in the laboratory of American public memory that Gettysburg represents.
