The Daily Brief

 ADA

Yesterday, July 26, 2015, marked the 25th anniversary of the signing of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) ensuring the civil rights of people with disabilities. This legislation established a clear and comprehensive national mandate for the elimination of discrimination against individuals with disabilities. In the last 25 years, the ADA has expanded opportunities for Americans with disabilities by reducing barriers and changing perceptions, and increasing full participation in community life.  Kutztown University remains committed to increasing access and opportunity for people with disabilities by creating welcoming and respectful learning environments and promoting equity and fairness for all.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

UPDATING YOUR CHECKSHEETS
We continue to strive to streamline all versions of checksheets to the central repository on this page: http://www.kutztown.edu/academics/courses/checksheets.htm, eliminating any versions that are in asset folders in Ingeniux or elsewhere online. Departments should not have any versions of checksheets that are not links to this repository on their public websites.

If you have not done so already, departments should submit current checksheets to Brian Meares (meares@kutztown.edu) in the Provosts' office. The documents are uploaded centrally.

If you have not already changed your links to go to the repository, please do at this time. Please update your links (they should be EXTERNAL links) and delete the versions of the documents from your assets folder. If you need assistance to update links, please contact Josh Leiboff (leiboff@kutztown.edu).

If a department is interested, the University Relations/Web office can assist you in creating a department specific checksheet page for your department site. Like this: http://www.kutztown.edu/academics/courses/checksheets/geography-checksheets.htm
