THIS MONTH IN KU HISTORY

July 17, 1934:  It is announced that the Rev. Dr. Charles Kellar, rector of St. Mary's Parish, is organizing and sponsoring a Newman Club on the campus of Kutztown State Teachers College.  Today the group is ranked as one of the top 25 Newman Centers in the nation.

KU MUSIC STUDENTS TO PERFORM IN CAPE MAY
KU Faculty pianist Maria Asteriadou, joined by Kurt Nikkanen, concertmaster of NYC Ballet Orchestra and KU students Tyler Readinger, Joey Coco, Kariana Leinbach, Courtney Bennett, William Phillips and Anthony Rodriguez are invited to perform at the Cape May Chamber Music Festival on Wednesday, July 13, at 7 p.m.  The concert will take place at the Cape May Convention Hall and is free and open to the public. Johnson and Behm named KU Athletes of the Year 

JOHNSON AND BEHM NAMED KU ATHLETES OF THE YEAR
Kutztown University's Josh Johnson of the men's basketball team and Anna Behm of the field hockey team have been named the 2016 KU Athletes of the Year.  Read their story here.
