PASSHE Board of Governors honors KU Field Hockey 

  

The KU field hockey team was recognized yesterday at the State System of Higher Education Board of Governors Meeting for achieving the highest GPA in division II last year. 

KU Avalanche Mascot Madness champion second year    

Avalanche was also on hand yesterday in Harrisburg, where he was presented the trophy for the second Mascot Madness championship he won in the spring.

Partly to mostly sunny skies as weak frontal boundary sits offshore to our east. Deep moisture will be absent so precipitation is not expected. It will still be a warm day though! High temperature in low 90s. Winds west at 5-8 mph.

THIS MONTH IN KU HISTORY

July 1934:  It is announced that new social areas will be outfitted for the students of Kutztown State Teachers College, a first for the school.  Former literary society rooms on the sixth floor will be made available for the women and an area for the men will be constructed in the men's dormitory section of Old Main. 
 

 

ANNOUNCEMENTS


STATE SYSTEM SETS TUITION
The Board of Governors of the State System of Higher Education set tuition yesterday.  There will be a 2.5% increase for the 2016-2017 academic year.  Read the story here.

PARKING LOT CLOSURE
Parking lots B4 at the Education House and B5 at Admissions will be closed today, July 15 for line stripe painting.  Both lots will re-opened the same day once the paint is dry enough to do so.  Questions or concerns should be directed to Steve Wilson, Project Manager at Wilson@kutztown.edu

NEW STUDENT ORIENTATION TODAY
Please join the Connections Orientation staff in welcoming first-time freshmen and transfer students to campus today for New Student Orientation. Check-in for both groups will occur starting at 8 a.m. in the McFarland Student Union. The Transfer Orientation Program begins at 9 a.m.in MSU 218. First-year students and family members will meet in Boehm 145.  The day will consist of group meetings, presentations, housing tours, parent meetings and academic advisement sessions for students.
