Strong ridge of high pressure moves into the eastern United States. Mostly sunny skies are expected. Big story of the weekend will be the heat. Excessive Heat Warnings likely to be issued Friday. The combination of heat and humidity will make for very uncomfortable, and possibly life threatening, conditions. Stay cool and hydrated. High temperature in the mid-90s. Heat index near 105. Winds southwest at 5-8 mph.
