Hot, humid weather is expected for Wednesday. Dew points will be creeping up throughout the day. Could see some showers and storms by afternoon but models are not showing any organization with the convection. High temperature near 90. Light northwest winds. Rainfall between 0.1-0.25 inch with higher amounts where storms occur.

CONDOLENCES TO THE MOYER FAMILY
Please join the provost’s office in offering our sincerest condolences to Ms. Tammy Moyer, special project coordinator, in the loss of her mother, Martha Louise Reid. Mrs. Reid passed away on June 21, in her hometown of Hayden, Alabama. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Tammy and her family for their loss. Expressions of sympathy can be sent to Tammy, c/o the Office of the Provost, 309C Stratton Administration Center.

RAUCH NAMED ASSOCIATE PROVOST FOR ACCREDITATION AND ASSESSMENT
I am pleased to announce that Dr. Karen L. Rauch has been named Kutztown University’s associate provost for accreditation and assessment and will begin her new position on Monday, July 8. Rauch has been with the university since 2001, most recently as associate dean of KU’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. You can read more on Rauch online. I want to thank everyone who participated in the search process, especially members of the search committee. Rauch has done a tremendous job in her time in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, notably with assessment. She is committed to the academic excellence of our institution and will help lead our culture of providing effective programs to our students.

LIFELONG LEARNING AT KU
Kutztown University now offers free courses for all alumni of the university. Different classes will be offered each semester on a variety of topics and alumni are welcome to take one or both courses. These classes are 100% online and may not be used toward a degree program at KU. These classes do not count toward any Act 48 credits. PEBTF GET HEALTHY SCREENING REGISTRATION
PEBTF Get Healthy screening registration for AFSCME and SCUPA employees opened July 1. Kutztown University’s on-campus screenings will be held 7 a.m. to noon, Thursday, Aug. 8. To be eligible for lower health care contribution rates for the period of July 1, 2020, through June 30, 2021, employees (partners do not have to participate) must complete a wellness screening by Dec. 31, 2019. If you cannot make it to the on-site event, you can schedule an appointment with a Quest location, or print a provider form, both from Quest Diagnostics page that you can access from PEBTF.
