OFFICE OF ADMISSIONS WELCOMES LACEY WISMER
The Office of Admissions is excited to welcome Dr. Lacey Wismer as assistant director of International Admissions and Student Services. Lacey most recently worked as associate director of International Admissions at Cedar Crest College. Before that, she worked as Kutztown University’s interim assistant director of International Admissions from January 2016 – January 2017. Lacey brings with her a wealth of knowledge and experience working with international students, and earned two of her degrees while studying outside of the United States herself. Please join us in welcoming her back to the KU community.

HILTON NAMED CHAIR OF BOARD AT HEALTHSPARK FOUNDATION
HealthSpark Foundation is proud to announce the election of Dr. Warren Hilton, Kutztown University vice president of Enrollment Management and Student Affairs, as the Foundation’s new Board Chair. Dr. Hilton has led an esteemed career in academia, with a special focus on increasing student diversity in post-secondary education and spearheading programs that provide wraparound support for college students. This past January, the Wissahickon Faith Community honored Dr. Hilton with the annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Day “Keeper of the Dream” award for his contributions to Black and underprivileged communities. Dr. Hilton had previously served as the HealthSpark Foundation Board of Director’s Vice Chair. Read More.

RETIREMENT ANNOUNCEMENT
Library Services announces the retirement of our friend and colleague, professor Bruce Gottschall. Gottschall began his career at Kutztown University as the library’s evening supervisor in 1994, and became a member of the library faculty in 1999. Most recently, he was responsible for the library’s management system and oversaw collection development. He was department chair from 2011 to 2017. During his time at KU. Read More.
