WEATHER
Weather forecasts are provided by KU's Dr. Michael Davis and "Monsoon Mike" Regensburger
One of those rare days of late with no real precipitation concerns. Rather, today looks like a reasonable, average summer day with fair skies, humidity up there but not too oppressive, and highs around 87, which is within a few degrees of normal for this time of year.

DEMAND RESPONSE TEST RESULTS - INQUIRING MINDS WANT TO KNOW
Thank you to the campus community and facilities services staff for a successful demand response test conducted Friday, July 16. The campus commitment was to reduce our electric load below 3,000 kW. We accomplished our goal by reducing consumption from 4,372 kW to 2,535 kW, a total of 1,837 kW. Revenue from our test performance will be used to implement additional energy conservation measures on campus.
The test is over what’s next. Emergency events may be called throughout the summer, to avoid potential brownout/blackout conditions. Should an emergency be called an email notice will be sent to the campus asking you to assist by turning off lights and non-essential office and laboratory equipment. Thank you.
