ANNOUNCEMENTS
GOGGLEWORKS FESTIVAL FEATURES KU FACULTY, STUDENTS
The GoggleWorks Theater, Reading, Pennsylvania, will present a festival of contemporary animated shorts and a panel discussion about "Careers in Animation," Saturday, July 10, and Tuesday, July 14. The audience will be treated to a screening of the 2021 Oscar-Nominated Animated Shorts and a curated reel of experimental films by young animators. "We selected works based on interesting techniques, from traditional 2-D animation to stop-motion, layered films and looping GIFs. Animation is an in-demand skill and there are so many different ways to go about it," said associate professor Ann Lemon, who worked with professors Leigh Kane and Michael Covello to create the program. Kutztown University alumni and students were featured.
