KU TO HOST COVID-19 VACCINE CLINIC FRIDAY, JULY 9
Kutztown University will host a COVID-19 vaccination clinic 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Friday, July 9, at KU's Student Recreation Center. The Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccination clinic is open to students, employees, community members and children ages 12 and older. Vaccines are free of charge and no registration is required. Additional clinic dates include Friday, July 30, and Friday, Aug. 20. Vaccine clinics for the fall semester will be announced at a later time. Questions can be directed to KU's Office of University Relations at ur@kutztown.edu.

Tropical moisture to the south and a slow-moving cold front to the west bring rounds of heavy showers and thunderstorms, especially in the afternoon. Highs a little cooler than recent days at about 85 with the extra clouds, but still remaining very humid.

OFFICE OF UNDERGRADUATE ADMISSIONS MOVE
The Office of Undergraduate Admissions has officially moved. Most staff members now reside in the Kemp Building, where we will utilize the space to welcome visitors for admissions presentations. In addition to the Kemp Building, the former Old Main Oasis is now a new dedicated space for the Campus Tour Guide Program. We are also excited to announce the creation of a new Transfer Center in Old Main, located in the former Women’s Center. We are still getting settled in, but we invite you to visit our new locations as we get closer to the start of the academic year.

RECREATION AND SPORT CLUB ADVISORS NEEDED
The Office of Recreational Services is looking for faculty/staff advisors for the Bass Fishing, Dance, Men’s Golf and Men’s Lacrosse clubs for the upcoming school year. The advisor donates their time working with the club to ensure compliance with university policies and to assist in the learning and development of student participants. Other duties include advising the executive board in creating yearly budgets, providing approval for club financial transactions, attending club meetings, games or events whenever possible and serving as a source of information for the students. If you are interested in becoming the advisor for one of the above-listed clubs, please contact Matt Barrett, coordinator of structured sports, at barrett@kutztown.edu.

CLASSROOM FURNITURE RETURNING
During the week of July 12, tablet arm chairs, chairs and desks will be returned to the academic buildings and placed in the hallways to allow for cleaning and allocation after being stored during the pandemic. By the end of the first week of August all furniture will be cleaned and returned to the classrooms and labs. Sorry for the inconvenience. We appreciate your understanding while trying to prepare for in-person classes this fall.

TESKE AND ROTHERMEL-KANTNER NAMED 2021 KU ATHLETICS LEGACY AWARD RECIPIENTS
Kutztown University athletics announced co-recipients of its Legacy Award for 2021 on Wednesday afternoon. Dr. Carol Teske will be honored and Margaret Francis Rothermel-Kantner will be posthumously recognized for their influence on women's sports at KU during the university's Athletics Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony Friday, Nov. 12. KUTZTOWN SHATTERS SCHOOL RECORD WITH 252 PSAC SCHOLAR-ATHLETES
A year after surpassing 200 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Scholar-Athletes for the first time, Kutztown University student-athletes produced their most impressive academic performance in 2020-21. The Golden Bears obliterated their former record of 206 honorees with 252 this year, helping the PSAC establish a new conference-record with 4,162 scholar-athletes.
