KU Night at the Reading Fightin' Phils 

On June 10, join KU alumni, family and friends as we watch the Reading Fightin' Phils take on the Altoona Curve!  Game begins at 7:05 p.m.  The gates will open at 5:30 p.m., so you can head to the '67 Club picnic area for a hot buffet.  The cost for the game and hot buffet is $20.16, commemorating our 150th anniversary this year!  Children 4 and under do not need a ticket and are free as long as they are accompanied by an adult.  For more information, please call 610-683-4110 or visit to register.

June 1, 1951:  William A. Thomson, Jr., is appointed business manager at Kutztown State Teachers College.  Thomson would hold the position for 32 years, retiring in 1983.  He was instrumental in leading the college through the major expansions of the 1960s and worked under four presidents.

The Men's Basketball staff is hosting a summer basketball day camp on June 20-24. The cost of the camp is $175.00. The camp runs Monday through Friday from 9am-3pm. The camp is for boys and girls in grades 3-12. If you would like additional information on the camp please contact Tom York at or at 610-683-4366.


The schedule for the opening rounds of the men's and women's Collegiate Rugby Championships have been released.  The women begin play Friday, June 3, and the men on Saturday, June 4.  All games will be played at either the Academy Fields or the stadium at Talen Energy Stadium, Chester, Pa.
