TODAY'S EVENTS

(Click Here for the Central Calendar)

ALL DAY                Undergraduate CONNECTIONS Student Orientation

TODAY'S WEATHER

(Weather forecasts are provided by KU's Dr. Michael Davis and "Monsoon Mike" Regensburger)

Low pressure moving across the area will put a temporary halt to our nice, sunny weather. Expect lots of clouds and periods of rain and rain showers, along with a chance of thunderstorms as well. Better chance for those, however, a little farther south. Highs in the mid 70s.

THE SESQUICENTENNIAL CELEBRATION

THIS MONTH IN KU HISTORY

(Historical facts have been compiled from the KU Archives and Special Collections of the Rohrbach Library; the archives of the Keystone; Kutztown Patriot, Allentown Leader and Reading Eagle; and Beacon on the Hill by Dr. Lee Graver.)

June 23, 1915:  Keystone State Normal School celebrates its 50th Anniversary in conjunction with the Borough of Kutztown's Centennial during the school's 48th commencement exercises.  The ceremony began at 9 a.m. and lasted until lunch.  It was followed by a concert by the Ringold Band of Reading, Pa.
