THIS MONTH IN KU HISTORY

June 28, 1929:  The state council of education approves Kutztown State Teachers College to confer the degree of Bachelor of Science in public school art.  It is widely believed to be the first art education program of its kind.

CONNECTIONS THANK YOU
On behalf of everyone in the Connections Orientation Office, thank you for helping us to make this June's orientation program a memorable event! Orientation is a key function in meeting the needs and expectations of incoming students and families. Moreover, it is directly linked to student retention. For all those who helped to make this program a success, we thank you.  We would like to acknowledge the work of our KU Staff, especially all presenters,  the faculty advising team lead by Dr. Robert Ziegenfus, and the Connections Orientation Student Staff who are dedicated to the successful transition of new students to KU. Please Note: there will be a freshman and transfer orientation event on Friday, July 15, 2016. Mark your calendars!

KU CAMPUS STORE
KU Campus Store will be closing at noon on Wednesday, June 29, and will remain closed through July 4. We will reopen for normal hours of 7:45 a.m. - 4 p.m. on July 5. Due to inventory, our First Friday Discount Day will be held on July 8. Sorry for any inconvenience. 

  


  

NETWORK MAINTENANCE
The IT Network team will be performing maintenance on the central core network equipment on Sunday, July 3, 2016, from 6 - 7 a.m.  All systems will be unavailable during this maintenance.

  


 

ONLINE COPY CENTER ORDERING SYSTEM UNAVAILABLE
The Insite print ordering system is temporarily unavailable. Should you require any immediate printing needs, please contact Barbara Miller by phone at 610-683-4116 or via email at bamiller@kutztown.edu.

 


 

OLD MAIN ELECTRICAL SHUTDOWN JUNE 30
There will be an electrical shutdown in Old Main on Thursday, June 30, from 5 - 8 a.m.  Areas of the building impacted by the shutdown include the Ground and 1st Floors of E-wing and F-wing.  The D/E wing elevator will not be operational during this time.  Please contact Carol Sztaba if you have any questions.  Thank you.
