CRC 2016 WomenCRC 2016 Men

COLLEGIATE RUGBY CHAMPIONSHIPS
Congratulations to the women's and men's rugby clubs for their great showing in Philadelphia this past weekend.  The women went 3-3 and were the runners-up in the Women's Challenge.  They pulled out wins against the University of Arizona, Rutgers and Bloomsburg.  The men finished in the championship semi-final round going 4-1 on the weekend.  They earned wins against University of Notre Dame, Boston College, Indiana University and Dartmouth College.  Both teams were great representatives of KU.  Photos from this weekend are in the process of being posted.  You can view some at the links below. The storms from yesterday have passed and now we have much more refreshing air coming in for Monday. Sunny skies can be expected. High temperature in the low 80s. Winds west at 8-13 mph.
 

 

THE SESQUICENTENNIAL CELEBRATION

THIS MONTH IN KU HISTORY

(Historical facts have been compiled from the KU Archives and Special Collections of the Rohrbach Library; the archives of the Keystone; Kutztown Patriot, Allentown Leader and Reading Eagle; and Beacon on the Hill by Dr. Lee Graver.)

June 11, 1889:  Louis E. Dieruff '12 is born in Minersville, Pa.  Dieruff goes on to graduate from the Keystone State Normal School in 1912 and returned to Minersville to teach fourth grade.  He moved to Allentown in 1916 before volunteering in the Army Medical Corps during World War I.  He taught for many years in Allentown, most of them at Central Junior High School, before becoming director of secondary education for the district in 1948.  In 1958 the Allentown School Board named the new east side high school in his honor.  He retired in 1959 and would be elected to the Allentown School Board the same year.  He passed away Oct. 10, 1964.
 

 

ANNOUNCEMENTS

STOREROOM INVENTORY
The University Storeroom will be conducting our Annual Inventory the week of June 20 - 23, 2016.  During this time the storeroom will be unable to make campus deliveries.  We will resume our regular delivery schedule on Friday, June 24.

While the storeroom is conducting Inventory, the SAP System will not allow users to process Material Reservations online.  The University Storeroom will begin running the necessary transactions in preparation for inventory at 1 p.m. on Friday, June 17. It is imperative that campus users refrain from attempting to use the Material Reservation transaction codes during this time.  The System will resume accepting Material Reservation transactions beginning on Friday, June 24.

Please remember that users should NOT attempt to input Material Reservations during this time, the transaction will not only be rejected but it will also have an impact on the Storeroom Inventory Process.
