High pressure over Ontario will provide for some very pleasant conditions. Gentle northerly breezes will push dry air into the region. Fair conditions will continue. High temperature in the upper-70s. Winds north at 5 mph.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

PLANS FOR RETURNING TO THE KU CAMPUS IN THE WEEKS AHEAD
The KU Emergency Management Committee (EMC) continues to closely monitor the COVID-19 color coded phase. The following is the plan for KU employees to return to campus:
Today, Berks County moved to the Yellow Phase, lifting some of the restrictions that have been in place since March.
– Teleworking is encouraged in the Yellow Phase where possible. KU will continue to implement telework during this phase for non-essential employees, where feasible.
– When Berks County moves to the Green Phase, KU will begin to bring employees back to campus.
– Some offices will have employees return through a phased process, depending on the office and staff size.
– Social distancing and other safety measures will be in effect for all workers upon return to campus.
– Employees with health concerns related to an in-person return, will receive further information regarding protocols.
– Expanded leave will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis, and employee hours will be adjusted for in-person work as possible and/or necessary.

FIRE ALARM INSPECTIONS
June 8
Fire alarm inspections will be conducted in all campus buildings from Monday, June 8, to Monday, July 15. This testing is performed to ensure the alarm systems are functioning properly. These inspections will take place daily during normal business hours. Your cooperation is appreciated while we ensure our life safety systems are operating optimally.

KUTZTOWN UNIVERSITY COUNCIL OF TRUSTEES MEETING

June 11
The Kutztown University Council of Trustees will meet remotely Thursday, June 11. There will be no physical location for the meeting as a safety precaution given the current COVID-19 crisis and current social distancing guidelines.
– An Executive Session will be held at noon.
– Committee meetings will begin at 1:30 p.m.

ACCOUNTS PAYABLE PROCEDURES
Please continue to email all invoices for payment to apinvoice@kutztown.edu for processing in a timely manner. Do not use the campus mail. Continue to encourage the use of ACH enrollment instead of paper checks for timely receipt of payment. To request an ACH enrollment form, please contact the Office of Accounts Payable at apinvoice@kutztown.edu. When interacting with vendors also encourage the use of the ACH enrollment and use of the accounts payable email address for customer service. Following this procedure will help us prevent unnecessary passing of paperwork between departments and ensure timely payment to our vendors. Thank you.
